Library&Cafe BLOSSOM COFFEE sits quietly on the basement level of a hotel near Lake Toya, offering a peaceful retreat for coffee lovers and those seeking a calm spot to relax or work. The space is notably spacious, with a mix of regular seating and a dedicated reading area that gives a nod to its “library” namesake, making it appealing for visitors who enjoy a quieter café experience away from the usual hustle.

The coffee here is solid, with seasonal touches like espresso and classic options such as ミルクティー (milk tea) and ハーブティー (herbal tea) rounding out the menu. While the drinks don’t compete with the artisan roasters found in bigger cities, they satisfy well in this lakeside setting, especially when paired with Hokkaido’s rich local milk. The café keeps food light and simple—croissants are available, including a savory choice with fig, prosciutto, cream cheese, and honey, although those looking for a broader food menu might find it limited.

One of the standout features is the view: large windows face the manicured lawn and beyond that, Lake Toya itself, creating a gentle backdrop that shifts with the seasons. Mornings and late afternoons are particularly nice times to visit, when natural light fills the café and the atmosphere feels calm enough for reading, remote work, or casual meet-ups.

The ambiance leans toward understated comfort with soft jazz and ambient music in the background, complementing the relaxed vibe of the space. The presence of charging ports and free Wi-Fi also speaks to those who might want to settle in for a longer stay, blending leisure with practicality.

This café will suit those who appreciate a tranquil, scenic setting—whether travelers seeking a pause after outdoor activities around Lake Toya or locals looking for a quiet corner to sip coffee and read. It’s not the spot for a loud crowd or extensive dining, but it subtly fills the niche of a gentle lakeside pause with thoughtfully brewed coffee and a calm, spacious atmosphere.

The café is pretty spacious. Plenty of seats and tables, and a reading area. The coffees are good, probably one of the best places to get coffee in the area. The café is located inside a hotel, b1 floor.

What a great find! It’s downstairs from a hotel lobby, overlooking the lake and a park. I had a delicious croissant with fig, prosciutto, cream cheese & honey, along with some of their excellent coffee.

It’s a really beautiful cafe. Serves lovely royal milk tea, probably the best western coffee in this part of the Lake (but don’t expect same quality as those good coffee roasters). The views outside is outstanding. What’s truly missing is proper food. The croissants are so so. But the only choice. The normal milk is available. No Oat or Soy. But the Hokkaido milk is nice. I’ll pay the price later. There is only one service person. So expect to wait. Parking is behind the hotel. This cafe is within the hotel

Relatively quiet and peaceful place to have a drink, light food or… to do remote work. There’s soft jazz/ambient music in the cafe. The view facing Lake Toya is stunning! Service is fast and the staff are nice. There are a few charging ports at the shared benches if you need to charge your devices + free wifi. Didn’t try the food, but the drinks were okay (my friend and I ordered iced cafe latte and royal milk tea). I liked how they put the sugar and syrup on the side of the drinks, so you can decide how much you want to add. Some of the drinks use hokkaido milk, so that was a nice touch. Didn’t read any of the books in the library, but that looks like a nice area to hangout for bookworms.

A premium cafe along the shores of Lake Toya. Premium pricing, but worth it. It has great views of the lake, a quiet atmosphere with an artistic library wi the in the premises. Quiet and tranquil. They sell some snacks - ice cream and croissants. No cakes. The lawn in front of the cafe is perfectly manicured! Highly recommended! Thumbs up!

Very nice coffee shop with a view on the lake. Had a delicious oat latte with pain perdu (French toast). Had a tour of the library with my baby, very enjoyable, a customer started playing with the piano, very relaxed atmosphere. Staff was great too.
